Honda is preparing for the to unveil the new and considerably redesigned 2012 Honda Insight at the Frankfurt Motor Show, taking place in Germany this month. Honda has not revealed much information about this new and improved model. However Honda of Bowie has discovered a few details surrounding the new Honda Insight and we are excited to share the news with our Bowie drivers.

Honda of Bowie knows that the remodeled Honda Insight will offer better fuel efficiency. Honda released photos of the new model showing a more aerodynamic front bumper and redesigned grille.

Beyond that surface-level takeaway, Honda has revealed, without giving away exact details, that the new 2012 Insight will also benefit from reduced engine friction and improvements to the continuously variable transmission (CVT) and air-conditioning system.

The modifications to these features allows the new Honda Insight to deliver fuel economy of up to 51.3 miles per gallon and likely no less than 45.6 miles per gallon. This is a significant improvement from the 2011 Honda Insight which delivered 43 miles per gallon highway and 40 miles per gallon city.
