Before you turn the keys and rev up the engine of your new Honda vehicle, a lot must happen. And we aren't referring to the sale that's made on our dealership lots or even the time it takes a model to get from production to Honda of Bowie in the first place. We're talking about the steps that our favorite automaker itself puts each and every vehicle through in order to ensure perfection.
As part of its Honda Electric Vehicle Demonstration Program, the Big H has sent 2013 Honda Fit EV models to some of the most brilliant minds for testing. Participants at Stanford University, Google Inc., and Torrance, CA will examine the innovative battery-electric vehicle in real-world situations and evaluate them based on performance. Honda engineers will then use the feedback to develop the future of electric mobility.
At this point in time, only lucky participants at Stanford, Google and in Torrance will be able to experience the smooth drive and performance of the Honda Fit EV. However, company officials have revealed that the model will hit California and Oregon starting this summer then move to the East Coast come 2013.
